Project Highlights
Over the years we've worked with plenty of clients who are starting new businesses or creating new products. At first glance it might seem that the folks at Peter Nappi fit that mold.
However, once we began to learn more
about their plans we realized how unique
they would be. Their business and
products are new... technically.
Though, in a way they are also old. Inspired by a craft begun generations earlier in the Nappi family, this new website would feature products that could have been crafted a century ago.
Copywriting
The messaging for this project covered two main areas: a printed fashion lookbook (designed by Anderson Design Group) and a product centered website. The story of the Nappi family, present and past, was integral to the messages. We spent considerable time getting to know the modern day Nappis and what drove their passion for these products.
The copywriting for both the lookbook and the website reveals the story behind the brand and the unmatched craftsmanship of the boots and bags they offer. Our final work gives readers a clear sense of the centuries of tradition
behind these new products.
Information Architecture & User Experience
It would have been easy to consider this "just another ecommerce website" and to have developed a very conventional experience for it. But, that would have been a disservice to these luxurious products. So, we ended up using some trusted and intuitive conventions to feature the products, such as photo gallery style product pages. However, we made sure to employ a clean presentation for the product information and a few memorable experiences like the 360 degree viewer
for each of the products.
Website Design

To develop the online presence for this brand we collaborated with Anderson Design Group. With their creative direction we utilized stunning photography and video within a site design that is as lush as the products themselves. The highly textured, almost tactile backgrounds and vintage look and feel make this website stand out in a field of cookie-cutter ecommerce sites.
Launch WebsiteContent Management & Ecommerce

While common, ecommerce databases always need special attention. There are plenty of moving parts and view admin areas that get updated and used as much as those of ecommerce websites. Since we built the CMS in Django we were able to build some highly customized applications that allow our client to manage photographs, orders, customer feedback, and general site content with an intuitive ease. Plus, since Django is so easy to update, we can make changes for them
easily as their needs grow.
